AutoIndexNow MCP server

Everything you can do in the dashboard, available to Claude, ChatGPT and other MCP clients: list sites, start checks, submit URLs and read every IndexNow response. You approve each permission; your plan's limits apply exactly as in the dashboard.

Connect a client

The server speaks MCP over Streamable HTTP at https://autoindexnow.com/mcp. Add it as a remote (custom) MCP server in your client. The client opens an AutoIndexNow sign-in and a consent screen in your browser; there is nothing to copy or paste.

# Claude Code
claude mcp add --transport http autoindexnow https://autoindexnow.com/mcp

In Claude, ChatGPT and other apps, add a custom connector with the same URL. Clients that support Client ID Metadata Documents register automatically; others use dynamic client registration.

Permissions

The consent screen lists what the client asked for. Reading, everyday changes and submissions are pre-selected; billing links, credentials and deletions are off unless you tick them. You can connect again later to change the selection.

PermissionAllows
Read your sites sites:readSites, tracked URLs, checks, submissions with every attempt, alerts, deploy hooks and API key names.
Manage sites sites:writeAdd sites, change settings, verify ownership, track URLs, start checks, dismiss alerts.
Submit URLs indexing:submitSend pages to IndexNow within your plan's daily URL quota.
See your plan billing:readPlan, limits and subscription state.
Billing links billing:manageStripe checkout and billing portal links for you to open. No payment happens through the client.
API keys and deploy hooks credentials:manageCreate and revoke them. A new secret is shown to the client once.
Delete sites sites:deleteOnly with a confirmation that names the exact host.
Delete your account account:deleteOnly with a confirmation that gives your account email.

Limits and safety

  • The MCP server is part of every plan, Solo included. On Solo, which has no REST API keys, submit_urls still submits explicit URLs, within Solo's limits: 1,000 submitted URLs a day across the dashboard, MCP and deploy hooks, and 1,000 tracked URLs.
  • Connecting unlocks nothing. Every tool checks your current plan, site ownership and verification, and the same hourly and daily limits as the dashboard; for example Pro allows 12 on-demand checks per site per day across the dashboard, API and MCP together.
  • Destructive tools need a confirmation naming the exact target, and every change is recorded without its arguments.
  • Changes accept an idempotencyKey: a retry with the same key never runs twice.
  • IndexNow acceptance (200 or 202) means the endpoint received the URLs. It is not indexing, and Google does not take part in IndexNow.

Disconnect

Remove the connector in your client. Signing out on every device, resetting your password or deleting your account also ends every connection at once: access is tied to the browser session that approved it. Unused connections lapse after 30 days.
